Extra touches such as homemade bread and butter, fresh herbs, fresh fruits from his trees, garden with veggies, and amazing coffee beans/grinder/espresso press. Great suggestions for local hikes and photo ops. Matthew even lent us his kayaks, staging them on the river for a fabulous time on the Gellibrand. 15 minutes to 12 Apostles for great morning pictures without the crowds. Close to many good Otway hikes, Triplet Falls was amazing! Stayed 3 nights, but wished it could have been the whole week or longer. Premium experience!!!

  This is a gorgeous place with breathtaking views of beautiful trees and mountains. The windows give the space plenty of light. It is quiet, cosy and rejuvinating. There is a... read more full kitchen that is well equipped for cooking - suggest you bring food as it will be easier than driving for take away, half an hour away. The outdoor area includes a table for al fresco dining plus chairs facing the beautiful surroundings, to watch the sun go down. It's a studio, with the shower and bath in the same open space as the living area and bedroom, so it's perfect for singles or couples, and less suitable for bigger groups. The toilet is separate and private. It's 20 minutes' drive to Melba Gully as well as the Twelve Apostles, and 30-40 minutes to many other attractions along the Otway National Park. Matthew was very responsive and helpful.

Surprised because both the... read more accomodation and property were so well appointed and peaceful. Peaceful really is the best descriptor for this airbnb, matched only by perhaps 'private'.

No visible (or audible) neighbours, we immediately felt pleasantly secluded, and found we left the blinds open all week to make the most of the panoramic view through the large (double glazed!) windows.

The space is gorgeous, and very comfortable. The styling is eclectic but there is a consistent eye for objects of a timeless quality and charm.

Matthew provides a number of local and boutique pantry items like coffee and homegrown tea. There is also a working vegetable garden (which we cleared out of rhubarb to make compote), and herb garden (which had plenty of rosemary for G&Ts).

There is plenty of wildlife to watch - you might even meet an elusive echidna!

The room was clean, well-maintained, and had a cozy, remote control of lights. The hosts clearly put a lot of thought into making it feel like home, providing everything from a well-stocked kitchen to video and puzzles. The outdoor was my favorite spot, where I could set up fire and sit for hours, taking in the views, especially after sunset.

Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat or an adventure-filled getaway, this place is the perfect choice. I can’t recommend it enough and would love to return someday!
